Explore the Wilds of Roses

I am wild. Recently, I came across a 'feral' sticker that made me reflect, "I was feral." I drove my family nuts, which was not intentional. I grew up in Wild Rose country. Now, as bizarre as it can be, I am whole. 

I am a special education teacher for Portland Public Schools. 

My challenges as a child and as an adult were speech impairment and being a high-functioning autistic person. 

I was a very lost soul with challenging social skills. 

I learned to mask as a young person, 

where I was hiding my pain and embarrassment to be me. 

What gave me a sense of self-value is art. 

My identity is based on sexuality; 

That's when I got the attention of others.
